We are halfway through the school Easter holidays and one of the highlights so far for Ruth has been attending a cookery class with Oonagh Barrett of Great Irish Bake Off fame. With a brand spanking new demonstration kitchen, Oonagh’s new cookery school in Kellistown, Co Carlow is very quickly gaining huge popularity. Also during the week, one particular email caught my eye – it was from the Westbury Hotel, and for those of you who are not inclined to cook Easter Sunday lunch, this might be of interest to you..

In the meantime, I have been busy painting my new picket fence (see pic above) and I was delighted to discover that my homemade Sugar Scrubs
are perfect for removing paint splatters from delicate hands. I am a messy painter and in truth my three young helpers weren’t much better – but we had great fun and I am loving the results.
